Why it’s Good to Settle in Tarlac

Tarlac, the heart of Central Luzon and midway between Manila and Baguio City, is the most multicultural of the Central Luzon provinces. A mixture of four district groups, the Pampangos, Ilocanos, Pangasinenses, and Tagalogs, share life in the province.

Tarlac is best known for its fine foods and vast sugar and rice plantations. It has fine cooking to offer due largely to the fact that it is also the melting pot of Central Luzon. It offers some of the best cuisines from the places of ancestry of its settlers, the provinces of Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, Pangasinan, and the Ilocos Region.

Historical sites (Death March Marker, etc.), fine foods, vast plantations, a beautifully landscaped golf course, malls (SM City Tarlac), food chains (Jollibee, McDonalds, the famous Isdaan), finest coffee shops (Starbucks Coffee), resorts, and so many other attractions – all these make the province of Tarlac one of the best of the places to visit in Central Luzon.

International Viability

Through Clark International Airport (CRK), Tarlac is just around 30-45 minutes gateway to the world via  Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX). Clark Freeport Pampanga, Tarlac nearby province, has become a major gateway for several international carriers such as Cebu Pacific, Asiana Airlines, Jin Air, Tiger Airways, Air Asia, SEAIR, Dragonair (Cathay Pacific Group), and others, to get you to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Macau, and Malaysia. There are also flights to Incheon, Korea and onwards to the United States with Asiana. Most of these airlines can also bring you to popular Philippine Tourist's places such as  Boracay, etc. It is less stressful flying from Clark International Airport (Also called Diosdado Macapagal International Airport) since there are not that many passengers yet. At your most convenience, CRK has a spacious and secured Park and Fly service at a very low rate.

Viability Update

In addition to the existing Subic–Clark–Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX) was officially opened to motorists on October 31, 2013. TPLEX is an 88.85-kilometer, four-lane expressway from Tarlac City to Rosario, La Union. The SCTEX, on the other hand, is the country’s longest expressway at 93.77 kilometers. It was completed on July 25, 2008.

SCTEX and TPLEX are parts of the major projects in Central Luzon to transform the region into a world-class logistics hub in the Asia-Pacific region. These major infrastructure projects will help Central Luzon to realize its integration of economic activities. Moreover, these expressways will serve as major link in the Subic Bay Freeport and Seaport, the Clark Freeport Zone, the Clark International Airport, the Central Techno Park in Tarlac, all the way to La Union, and the very famous and official Summer Capital of the Philippines – Baguio City.
